Biography (About):
Morteza Rahimiyan received the B.Sc. degree from
Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran, in
2003 and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Mashhad, Iran, in 2006 and 2011 respectively, all in Electrical Engineering. He was a visiting researcher at the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, in 2010.
He is currently an Associate Professor of planning and operation of electric energy systems at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Shahrood University of Technology, Iran, and is also the director of Energy Systems Planning and Operation (ESPO) laboratory. He has published more than 20 papers in SCI journals, and is also the co-author of a textbook entitled “Virtual Power Plants and Electricity Markets: Decision Making under Uncertainty” (Springer, 2020). He has experienced the scientific chair of 7th Iran Wind Energy Conference (IWEC2021) in 2021, and editorial board member of Renewable Energy Research and Application (RERA) journal from 2019 till now. He has been the advisor of Iran’s industrial institutions, and also contributed into several industrial projects as a principal investigator or a co-investigator. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
