Biography (About):
Dr. Majid Nikkhah received his B.S. degree in mining engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 1996 and his M.S degree in rock mechanics from Tarbiat Modares University in 2000. He has received his Ph.D. degree by defending his thesis entitled "Study and Numerical Modeling of the Effect of Triaxial Loading on the Kaiser Effect (Acoustic emission)" in the field of Rock Mechanics from Tarbiat Modares University in 2012. He is currently as associate Professor of geomechanics at Shahrood university of technology. His publications include one book, and more than 90 papers in international Journals and conference proceedings. He has collaborated as a scientific referee in several conferences and scientific and research journals and has been the scientific secretary of 4 national conferences and the Director-in-Charge of journal of Petroleum Geomechanics since 2017. Currently, his research is mainly focused on geotechnical and structural monitoring, Acoustic emission, rock dynamics and petroleum geomechanics.
