Biography (About):
Dr. Mahdi Gerdooei, an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Shahrood University of Technology, Iran, brings nearly 20 years of expertise in academia and industry. He holds a B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. from Amirkabir University of Technology, with his doctoral research on strain rate effects on sheet metal formability. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (2019–2023) and has been a Consultant to the CEO at Iran Fanarlool Company since March 2024, focusing on vehicle spring design and fatigue analysis.
His research spans advanced metal forming, fatigue analysis, biomaterial manufacturing for dental implants, and innovative spring design. Dr. Gerdooei established a specialized laboratory for mechanical testing at Shahrood University, serving scientific and industrial sectors (see: https://www.researchgate.net/lab/Shahrood-University-of-Technology-Metal-Forming-Lab-Mahdi-Gerdooei). He has supervised numerous theses, taught courses like Metal forming, Plasticity and CAD/CAM/CAE, and published extensively (Google Scholar).
