Abstarct: In this thesis, we consider stabilizing problem of two input affine and non-affine systems by maximum angle control law. Maximum angle control law is a new stabilizing control law which is categorized as an inverse optimal control law. The main characteristic of the inverse optimal control laws is their optimal solution via straightforward control laws which are functions of system variables and a control lyapunov function of the system. In the case of maximum angle control law, by defining the concept Eigen angle for square real matrices, it is shown that the construction of CLFs for particular non-affine systems and their stabilizing can be reduced to the construction of CLFs and stabilizing of affine systems. Although the maximum angle control law has good properties especially in the case of non-affine systems, it is introduced only for single input systems. Since many important industrial systems have multiple inputs, here the maximum angle control law is generalized to two input systems via a kind of simultaneous solution. The introduced control law is executed on an example of two input affine system. Simulation results are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed methodology. Moreover, the double pendulum system is stabilized by using this control law, as a two input non-affine system in order to show that the generalization preserves the main property of maximum angle control law for non-affine systems. Accompanied with the stabilization, Eigen angle for a new sort of square matrices is presented.
