Introduction to the Special Cases Council (Komisyon-e Barresi-ye Mavaared-e Khaass)

Introduction

The Special Cases Review Commission (or Council) is established in universities and higher education institutions to review and issue final rulings exclusively on the educational status of students who are identified as a "Special Case," in compliance with the executive regulations of the Commission.

A Special Case refers to the situation of students whose educational progress has been hampered by causes outside of their control and volition—factors that have significantly impacted their studies—and whose problems cannot be resolved using existing regulations and statutes. Addressing their educational difficulties and providing a logical solution requires further review, a more precise, and a comprehensive judgment.
