Faculty of Architectural Engineering and Urbanism

Due to the great interest of the applicants for further studies in architecture, the architecture department started its activity by accepting students in Associate’s Degree of Architecture in 1996 and expanded in the second semester of 2003 with adding a Bachelor degree. Increasing the number of faculty members and laboratory and workshop facilities, the admission of undergraduate students in Architectural Engineering and the Master of Architectural Engineering began in October 2008 and October 2011 respectively. In 2014, with the expanding scope of activities of the group, the faculty of Architectural Engineering and Urbanism was established. Currently, there are more than 200 undergraduate and postgraduate students in the faculty of Architectural Engineering and Urbanism and 11 full-time faculty members and more than 15 lecturers are teaching and mentoring them. It is worth mentioning that the Faculty is equipped with ten design studios and three specialized laboratories such as the "Building Energy Efficiency Laboratory" and the "Laboratory of New Fabrication Technologies”. Using equipment, facilities and advanced devices enables students and faculty members to conduct research in various fields at all levels.
