Abstarct: Using steel shear walls which is more advantageous than smooth plate shear walls has been discussed recently and its advantages are (1) higher stiffness out of the load plate compared with non-harden state; (2) reducing the cost compared with hardened state. Most researches of corrugated shear walls, whether in experimental or numerical, have been conducted on two-dimension one-floor frxames. However, this is not practical. The main reason of conducting research on one-floor corrugated shear walls is numerous elements for modeling wall corrugation. In this study, it has been attempted to provide the matrix of corrugated element stiffness and write finite element program for using it for the first time so that the range of numerical operation and computation running is reduced. In order to obtain the matrix of corrugated element stiffness first the bending elasticity matrix should be determined using Yaeo Aoki and Valdemar. Also, shape function was obtained through fitting curve method but shape functions vary by changing corrugation geometry shape, support and loading conditions. It is attempted in this thesis to suggest two methods for removing this weakness and corrugated plates are analyzed baxsed on these two methods and compared using ABAQUS software. We concluded that both methods were acceptable. In addition, smooth plate in-plane isotropic elasticity matrix was used instead of in-plane orthotropic elasticity matrix to study the behavior of corrugated steel shear wall because the latter matrix did not exist. Fitting curve was used to obtain the field of displacement for in-plane behavior of corrugated shear wall and results were investigated using ABAQUS software.
