Abstarct: The catchment area of Nasser-Abad River with area of 88 square kilometers is one of the Zohreh river subcatchment. This catchment area is located approximately 18 kilometer NE of Dogonbadan in the upstream of Imam-Zadeh Jafar and annually several times it contains flood. The Imam-Zadeh jafar plain is considered as the potential agricultural regions in the torid zone of Kohgilouye and Bouyer Ahmad Province. Using groundwater to supply the water for Gachsaran City and also some of villages around the city and digging deep and semi-deep wells to provide required water in agricultural, industrial and oil industry leads to groundwater lever reduction in this region. In order to compensate a part of over used water, artificial recharge plan has been established in this plain in 1995. In this research, the volume of annual flood entered to the artificial recharge plan and also its effect on the Imam-Zadeh Jaffar plain aquifer has been evaluated. To evaluate the flood quantity in this area, according to the lack of rain gauge station in this basin, the Abadgah station raining data that is the closest station to this basin has been used during 18 yearly statistical period. Firstly, the values of annual rain fall for different return periods in the river catchment in Nasser Abad was calculated and thereafter according to the calculated run off coefficient, the valume of annual flood for different return period has been computed. The obtained results show that the flood volume in this study is variable from 4.30 million cube meters to 9.60 million cube meters for return periods of 2 and 25 years, respectively. To evaluate the effect of artificial recharge plan on the aquifer, the hydrographs of piezometers were considered and it was identified that all water entered to the project is not infiltrated to the aquifer and therefore it does not have considerable effect on the groundwater level. Form the quality point of view, also according to the sampling from flood in this research it was realized that due to the flood appropriate quality, regardless of infiltrated water low volume, the groundwater quality in adjacent regions to the plan is improved to some extent.
