Abstarct: In this thesis, air, water and soil pollution of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) is investigated. This region is located between geographical longitude 52˚ 25΄-52˚ 40΄ and geographical latitude 27˚ 20΄-27˚ 40΄ in the east of Bushehr province. Data gathered by French company ,Total, during 3 years from April 2003 to November 2005 once every 15 days in 7 stations, is used to estimate air pollution. Measured pollutants are NO2, SO2, O3, VOC, CO and H2S, but CO and H2S data weren’t analyzed because their concentration was less than detection level of the equipments. The maximum and minimum measured values of NO2, SO2, O3 and VOC were (105, 8.1), (621, 5.6), (116, 3.1) and (452, 0.8) µg/m3, respectively. Comparing annual concentration of these pollutants to dominant winds using GIS software, showed that in addition to wind, precipitation is an important factor in pollution level. To assess soil contamination, 10 surface soils samples from maximum depth of 5cm were collected. These samples were analyzed for heavy mextals, Hg, Cu, Pb, Co, Cr, Ni, Fe, Cd, Mn and TPH. The mean concentrations are <0.025, 5.7, 30.5, 18.5, 12.6, 29, 1900, 0.41, 100 and 128.7 mg/kg soil, respectively. To estimate water pollution, 5 samples from surface waters and 1 sample from rain water were collected, and pH, TDS, TSS, Nitrate, Nitrite, NH4+, TPH, PO4, COD, BOD5 and Co from these samples were measured. These values are 7, 660, 60, 0.064, 0.322, 5, 3.58, 0.064, 486, 338 and 52 mg/l, respectively. In rain water, in addition to pH (7.2), total hardness (12), Ca hardness (10), Cl- (4), alkaline (8), HCO3- (10) and cobalt (2.4) mg/l were measured. This study showed that pollution arising from current industries in Assaluye is higher in the vicinity of active phases and petrochemical industries and in south-eastern part 7 the PSEEZ region.
