Abstarct: Exposure reduction in nuclear medical staff with regard to the concept of ALARA need to be aware of how exposures and the effectiveness of methods of reducing exposure by measuring. Nuclear medical staff exposure are doing from the two main way the radiopharmaceutical (store and milking generator, producer, distributor and drug injection) and the patients receiving a radiopharmaceutical (patients who were injected radiopharmaceutical to them). In this experimental study, staff exposure in first way discussion related to drug injection and in second way the patients receiving of the radiopharmaceutical 99m Tc-MIBI for scan the heart were studied by using from experimental measurements and results of the simulation with MCNPX code. In this study, first radiation dose rate has measured from the 50 patients referred to Hospital Nuclear Medicine Center of Imam Hussein in Shahrood city by the gas detector BICRON surveyor 2000TM model was calibrated with a standard source 137Cs the area in front of the abdomen at different distances from patients for all patients. Then, exposure of staff were studied by having radiation dose rate depending on the distance from patients and by calculating the time duration of the placement of staff in these distance. With obtaining values from this study, The value of radiation dose rate from the patients receiving 99mTc-MIBI were measured for both groups of the Stress patients and the rest patients with the amount of average 9.9 and 13.4 Micro Sv per hour in 25cm distance from the patients, respectively. By calculating the average time of close contact (less than a meter) staff with radioactive patients was estimated, in particular, measurements of this stud the amount exposure of staff within one working day on average 2.1-0.35 Micro Sv per hour for rest patients and 2.9-0.35 Micro Sv per hour for Stress patients. According to the results obtained, exposure of staff compared with the amount authorized 7.5 Micro Sv is in day is low for staff. Also the staff exposure is higher from patients under heart scan in resting. In the following, exposure of staff when injected radiopharmaceutical was studied by design and building experimental iron shield for syringe containing the radiopharmaceutical and for other mextals by using of MCNPX code. The results of experimental construction iron shield was observed for injection syringes beaming, Annual exposure to the amount of 15.88% is reduced. Also in the section simulation by using of MCNP code were investigated reducing exposures by other mextals for shielding. With The obtaining results from TLD100 dosimeter, Most lower the annual doses was related to lead 92.93% , then copper-tungsten alloy 67.88% and at the end for iron shield 18.29% that obtained for comparison with experimental results mextal iron was studied for the simulation of mextal iron to.
