Abstarct: By collision of heavy ions in RHIC and LHC, strongly coupled plasma called quark gluon plasma (QGP) produced. One can not study this strongly coupled plasma using perturbative methods. Therefore of AdS/CFT correspondence is used to study this plasma.
In this thesis, we use this correspondence and study screening length of a moving meson with velocity of v. Then using the related references the velocity dependence of screening length in two special cases and are studied. The screening length is defined so that for larger distances quark and antiquark separate from each other, i.e., meson melts. It observes that by increasing the velocity the screening length decreases.
As a new problem, we study screening length in the presence of higher derivative corrections. From AdS/CFT correspondence, these corrections are related to the finite ('t Hooft coupling) corrections in the boundary theory. Then by considering the corrections the coupling constant decreases and we can study more realistic models. It is shown that the screening length depends on these corrections and at constant velocity by decreasing the screening length also decreases.
