Abstarct: Inverse eigenvalue problem has many application in science. For example, Control design,
Geophysics, Molecular spectrometer, Circuit theory. One of the most important applications
of this problem is in pole assignment problem in control theory. Because of its important roll
in engineering, we are studied the relationship between pole assignment problem and matrix
inverse eigenvalue problem, then we present a new method for solving the pole assignment using
inverse eigenvalue problem. We investigate this new method in descxriptor system, time-delay
system, 2D system and high-order system. In this method, according to the exists theorems
in inverse eigenvalue problem, output feedback matrix K is calculated such that eigenvalues
of close-loop system are arbitrary and prescribed. Also we are compared this method with the
method that proposed by Dr. Karbassi and Saadatjou. Removed of non-linear equation is the
main advantage of this method. At the end, the results of this new method is presented as
numerical examples.
