Abstarct: Sustainability has become the dominant discourse in contemporary world dueto energy crises and environmental problems, such as air pollution resulting from excessive use of non-renewable energy sources like oil and gas.Since about 50% of the fuelis consumed in buildings, the importance of this subject is more evident in the construction field and sustainable architecture is a logical approach to solve the problems related to buildings.This approach in architectural domain considers minimizing the use of nonrenewable resources through environmental design and focuses the use of renewable energies such as solar systems, wind, biomass and etc. New technologies such as photovoltaic panels, solar collectors and wind turbines have developed the use of these types of energy. The design of Climatology Centeris significant from two different points.First,according to the type of climates in each region,all environmental factors should be collected and analyzed in a center in order to find the potentials for an appropriate design.Second, the place of this Climatology Center (Tehran) and its pollution furthers the need to sustainable architecture and this building can be potentially a model for the designof other buildings in the city.Therefore this center is designed baxsed on environmental factors by taking into account a variety of issues such as sunlight,wind and natural ventilation. According to Vegetation zone 22, and functions around the site ( Park Cheetgar , Baghe Melli Giahshenasi ),the idea of ‘Indastrial Park’ was introduced and a green zone was designed to provide an appropriate micro climate in order to be consistent with its around functions.Different types of new technologies such as Photovoltaic cells, Smart facades,Solar collectors ,Wind Turbines , Green Roof , were used to maximize the use of renewable energies.
