Abstarct: The history of the world has always witnessed the disappearance of communities and the displacement of human settelmebts because of natural disasters such as earthquake, flood and storms. Iran has also always faced such incidents and is one of the most disaster-prone countries in the world, especially in terms of the earthquake, which annually threatens the lives and properties of many people. Given the widespread occurrence of this incident, it is imperative to pay attention to the issue of how to live after the accident and to return faster to pre-crisis situations. Homelessness in the aftermath of an earthquake indicates the need to predict a place for survivors to reside and to protect them from external threats and atmospheric conditions. Since the construction of permanent housing requires a lot of time and money after the destruction, and takes a long time and meanwhile affected communities need shelter, the issue of temporary housing is raised here. In this Thesis, first, the process of post-accident settlements, and in particular temporary occupancy, has been reviewed. Then by identifying the effective factors in choosing the appropriate location for the establishment of this phenomenon, the evaluation of these factors in the city of Shahrood as one of the neighboring regions of Alborz, which has high seismic potential, has been addressed. In the next step, determining the principles and guidelines for designing this space, along with the study of the city and it's dimensions, was the basis of designing a temporary space of 32 hectares for occupancy. To this end, a library, questionnaire and analytical method have been used in this research. Data analysis was performed using hierarchical analysis and weight linear composition and using the GIS tool. This research seeks to provide clam in dealing with events by trying to comprehend the effective dimensions of this issue.
