Abstarct: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of ethical leadershipand social responsibility on the organizational reputation of sports and youth departments in Golestan province. The research was descxriptive and applied. The statistical population of this study was all employees of sports and youth departments of Golestan province, whose number was 208 people; 122 of them were used as non-probability sampling method as a sample. The data were collected using the Brown et al.'s (2005) Ethical Leadership Questionnaire, Carol's (1979) Social Responsibility Questionnaire, and Loma-Aho's (2008) Organizational Reputation Questionnaire. The face and content validity of the questionnaires were confirmed by 12 experts and professors of sports management. To determine the reliability of the questionnaires, 30 distribution and Cronbach's alpha questionnaires of ethical leadership, social responsibility and organizational reputation questionnaires were obtained 0.91, 0.86 and 0.93, respectively, which have a Cronbach's alpha value and combined reliability above 0.7 and the appropriateness of the reliability status can be considered acceptable. Descxriptive and inferential statistics were used for statistical analysis of data using SPSS and PLS software. The results of inferential data analysis showed that ethical leadership had a positive and significant effect on organizational reputation (0.31). Also, ethical leadership had a positive and significant effect on employees 'social responsibility (0.81), on the other hand, social responsibility on employees' organizational reputation had a significant effect (0.59), at the level of 0.99. Finally, their results showed that ethical leadership indirectly affects organizational reputation through social responsibility. It is suggested that the sports and youth departments of Golestan province, by observing the ethical principles and criteria in their organization, improve the responsibility of employees and the organization, which will show a good and pleasant image of the organization among the community that operates.
