Abstarct: Extraction of building stones is one of the most important industries in Iran due to its good potential. By expanding technology, looking for new solutions at a lower cost and increasing production capacity is one of the goals of industry owners. The use of a chain saw machine is one of the solutions used in building stone cutting. In this thesis, the saw chain machine was studied in two marble mine kerem harsin and partavuosi bahabad (Iran) and and tried to examine the relationship between chain saw machine parameters and physical and mechanical properties of rocks with wear of segments using simple and multiple linear regression. In first step, Data have been taken from two marble mines kerem harsin and partavuosi bahabad (Iran), before each cutting cycle, the weight of the segments was measured with a precision scale then the machine is began to work with the proper parameters and is worked unaltered until the end of the cycle with the same parameters. At the end of the cutting cycle, the segments are again weighed and their weight loss are shows the wears. At the end 11 data were taken and analyzed. In the last step, two models are presented. The first model is baxsed on multiple linear regression and for the speed and speed parameters of the chain as independent variable and wearing as a dependent variable, and the second model is baxsed on simple linear regression for the parameters of cutting area as an independent variable and wear as an independent variable. the determination coefficient for the first and second models is 72.2 % and 88.2 % respectively, which indicates that in both models the independent variables have been able to explain a large amount of variance of the dependent variable. The results of validation show that the first model is more appropriate than the second model.
