Abstarct: Recognition of target zones is one of the most important issues in exploration of mineral deposits.Geophysical methods are among important exploration methods in which resistivity and induced polarization (IP) methods are suitable for prospecting and exploration of sulfide mineralization. Geophysical data acquisition was carried out using Resistivity and IP methods in the north of Markazi Province and southern city of Mamouniyeh. This study was made to identify and discover copper within the Mamouniyah area. The presence of a range in the urmia- dokhtar magma bismuth of the the copper indexes in the vicinity of the range, alteration and observation of mineralization at the surface of the indicative of extensive mineralization. In parts of the study area, the effects of copper and iron mineralization with zones of pethystic, propylic, sericite, argillic, chlorite and alterations were observed. In order to survey hopeful anomalies Excavation operations were carried out using with IP and resistivity method for 1171 points. For data acquisition hree north-south survey lines with spacing of 20 meters and equal length of 640 meters using dipole-dipole and pole-dipole arrays were designed and implemented to investigate possible subsurface anomalies. In this range, a general array was also used to combine dipole-dipole and pole-dipole arrays for accuracy and penetration depth. In order to obtain true chargeability and resistivity the subsurface structures. Data processing and modeling was performed with the help of RES2DINV and ZONDRES2D software packages. The two dimensional modeling was smoothly and parametric by inverse modeling, and field observations were taken into account during interpreting and the results of the modeling were demonstrated with the ROCKWORKS software. Then the results were interpreted and using other available geological and mining information of the area. The mineralization sites were identified in detail and the depth and dimensions of mineralization were specified in the relevant sections. According to the modeling results, copper mineralization zones have high chargeability values and medium to high resistivity values. Among the three survey lines, the data obtained from line D had better results in respect to the other two survey lines, Because 3 anomalies were identified along this survey line in which the identified anomalies were continuous and became more intense in deeper parts. These anomalies might be extend in higher depths of maximum modeling depth. Form the three anomalies identified along this survey line, the middle anomaly is likely more important sinse its beginning depth is 17 meters and its chargeability is higher than other anomalies. By identifying the promisiing areas of the region, As a result, of identifying the promising zones in the area, appropriate exploration drilling points were proposed.
