Abstarct: Geophysical methods can be used to identify and explore underground sources, including mextallic and non-mextallic deposits, hydrocarbon sources, underground water, etc. Geophysics can be divided into pure geophysics and applied geophysics. Exploratory geophysics studies the physical properties of Earth using gravimetry, seismic, magnetic and electrical methods. The purpose of this research is to identify and explore the chromite deposits of Sulaimaniyah region by gravimetry and magnetometry methods. Using montaj Osis software and applying different filters such as surface trend filter, analytical and ultrasonic signal, etc. on the existing data the anomalies should be separated from each other and the anomaly of the desired mineral should be revealed. Different methods such as Euler method, Werner coefficient and least squares method are used to determine the depth of mineralization. The results indicate that magnetometry and gravimetry methods can be effective as two complementary methods for chromite exploration. Magnetometry can be used to investigate geological structures, faulting, and the structures within which mineralization occur. Gravimetry method is very useful in the exploration of chromite due to the density of chromite material relative to its surrounding rocks. In this research, gravimetry and magnetometry methods have been used in chromite exploration in Sabzevar Palangan Springs. The results of magnetometry and gravimetric methods are in good agreement with each other. In this study, the fractures, faults and magnetic structures are well demonstrated by the magnetometry . The gravimetry method also indicates the existence of chromite in relation to the results of magnetic data. The results of gravimetry suggest the possibility of mineralization as a lens.
