TN1196 : Environmental Risks Assessment in Zarshouran gold mine by using Extended fuzzy sets

Abstarct: Zarshouran gold complex includes gold-arsenic mine and processing plant and processing tailings dam, one of Iran's mextal mines, which requires continuous environmental risk management due to the presence of sulfide minerals in this deposit and the use of cyanide to extract its gold. Fuzzy methods developed with regard to the use of multi-criteria decision-making models are widely used today to determine priorities. The set of Pythagorean fuzzy numbers has been used in this research to determine the prioritized list of environmental risks of Zarashoran gold complex due to the wider search space in them. PFVIKOR method has been used for the implementation of risk management steps and the steps of identifying, analyzing and evaluating environmental risks have been implemented according to VIKOR steps so that in addition to identifying environmental risks, they can be prioritized with the participation of experts and categorized for necessary reactive measures. To continuously manage these risks and reduce the level of environmental pollutants and their emissions. The results of this research show that the visual and geomorphological changes, the loss of the natural balance of the water system, the environmental expansion of arsenic and other heavy elements, and the formation of acidic sewage are the first level of reactions that require the mine to implement plant remediation and reconstruction programs simultaneously with mining. . In the second level, there is a reactive program with the need for corrective measures for the risks of noise pollution, emission of dust containing heavy elements, reduction of vegetable soil and plant diversity, and in the third level of this category of risks, there are pollution caused by mining machinery and reduction of biodiversity.
