Abstarct: Taknar polymextal (Cu-Zn-Pb-Au-Ag) ore deposit is located in the northeast of Iran, Khorasan Razavi Province. It is situated between two major faults, Darouneh fault in the south and Taknar-Rivash fault in the north of the study area. The ore deposit is divided into four areas, which are referred to as TAK-1, TAK-2, TAK-3, and TAK-4. There are geochemical anomalies from valuable elements such as, Cu, Zn, Pb, Ag, Au, Sb, Bi, Ni, Cr, Hg, Ba, Mo and W in this areas. Some geochemical samples were collected from the boreholes, tunnel and active pit. Sericite-schist, chlorite-schist and biotit-schist are some of the rock types in the study area that was mextamorphosed to green-schist facies. Pyrite, chalcopyrite, magnetite, hematite and sphalerite are some the major ore minerals in Taknar polymextal ore deposit. The geochemical dispersion pattern of the elements was investigated to identify some geochemical indexes for the follow-up exploration stage. baxsed on the geochemical behavior of the elements in TAK-1 tunnel, the elements of Fe2O3, MnO, MgO, CaO, Cu, Pb, Zn, Bi, As and S were enriched and the elements such as SiO2, K2O, Na2O, Ni, Cr, Rb, Y and Zr were depleted from the mineralized zone. In the footwall alteration zone and mineralized area of boreholes in TAK-3, the elements such as Cu, Pb, Zn, Bi, As, V, Co, S, Th, Fe2O3, MnO, MgO, Na2O, CaO, TiO2, P2O5 and LOI were concentrated and the elements of K2O, Al2O3, Sb, Rb and Nb were depleted. According to the geochemical investigation in Taknar area, two geochemical index rations of Fe2O3/Nb and (MgO.TiO2)/Nb was introduced.
