Abstarct: Sarcheshmeh copper mine has 1.2 billion tons of porphyry copper ore reserve. Due to the fact that the depth of the mine has increased and the grade, mineralogical composition, plant feed tonnage and quality of feed to the processing plant 1 have been changed. Due to the mentioned changes, the performance of the copper flotation circuit has been reduced in some cases. The copper processing circuit was redesigned using the current plant feed. For this purpose, experiments such as initial feed granulation, impact Bond index, ball Bond index, flotation tests and sedimentation test were performed on copper ore samples. According to the initial granulation of feed, particle size of 12.7 mm has increased from 20% to 48.5%. Finally, using the results of the above experiments, a new circuit was designed for processing plant 1. Results showed that the comminution circuit included 5 double-sided screening machines with a length of 6 meters and a width of 2.4 meters, two standard cone crushers with a 63 mm closed side setting and 6 short head cone crushers with a closed side setting of 19 that both types of crushers had more power from 300 hp to 348.7 hp rather than the initial design. 7 ball mills with a length of 8.23 meters, internal diameter of 4.7 meters, power of 3100 kWand tonnage of mill have increased from 225.8 tons per hour to 341.22 tons per hour compared to initial design and 7 with a diameter of 46.25 cm and the separation limit will be 74 microns and also the flotation circuit included 18 rougher cells with a volume of 200 cubic meters, 12 scavenger cells with a volume of 15 cubic meters, 10 cleaner cells with a volume of 50 cubic meters of RCS type and 4 column recleaner cell with a volume of45.55 cubic meters were selected and two ball mills for regrinding with a length of 6 meters, an inner diameter of 3.6 meters, a power of 1250 kW and 2 hydrocyclones with a diameter of 45 cm and the cut off size was 55 microns and for dewatering two thickeners with an area of 1229.3 square meters and a depth of 4.9 meters were designed.
