Abstract
In this research, we use a self-tuning regulator as an indirect adaptive controller for designing a high-step-up DC-DC converter. The process under control is a fourth-order nonlinear system. Our design method is baxsed on the average model around a working point. To identify the system, we have used the recursive least squares method, and in the design of the self-tuning regulator, we have used the control design without zero cancellation method. The performance of the control system is evaluated under the influence of noise, disturbance, and variations in load and reference voltage. Finally, the results are examined using a proportional-integral-derivative compensator. Simulation results show that the proposed method offers a significant improvement in precise and stable control of the output voltage and current of the converter.
