Abstarct: Electric motors play an important role in converting the electrical energy into the mechanical energy in the power systems. Due to various structures of these machines, baxsed on their sizes, disc shapes, double rotors, they are an excellent choice for conventional induction machines, thus, they are of interest by different industries. In this thesis, the design of an axial flux induction machine with contra rotation is evaluated. Firstly, with the help of a software baxsed on Finite Element Method (FEM), the under studied motor is analyzed in 2D domain and after that the equivalent circuit model of the aforementioned machine is obtained. Furthermore, under different loadings, the motor is simulated and the results of FEM-baxsed analysis have been compared with the results of equivalent circuit model that validates the performance of motor. When, the characteristic of understudied motor with contra rotation has been simulated in 2D with FEM and also compared with same rotation state. In the following, losses have been calculated in two modes of circular motion and anti-circular motion of the rotors. baxsed on the losses calculated in two states, the temperature of the engine has been analyzed and compared with each other using the finite element method in three dimensions. The double-rotor axial flux induction motor with Contra-Rotating rotors have various applications in industries, and some of the applications of this motor are mentioned in this thesis. Among them wind turbines, hydro turbines, submarines, drones, and electric aircraft are the most practical ones.
