Abstarct: Recently, using of renewable energies such as wind energy, solar energy and etc, due to their many advantages, such as not pollution, accessiblity, economic benefits and …, was grown. Wind turbines are one of the high usages of these resourses. In other hand, these recourse outputs change at different conditions. So, we have to combine these recourses with together or with anothers recourses, like fuel cells and energy storages.
In this thesis, we study on a control strategy for power management of a hybrid wind turbine/ fuel cell/ energy storage power generation system. The main purposes in this work are, increasing security of wind system, load securement and optimal operation of system.
For these purposes, FUZZY controller is used. The advantages of FUZZY controller are as follow:
• Simpelity of FUZZY logic
• Flexibility of FUZZY logic in determinations
• High accuracy of FUZZY controller
• Fast reactions and etc.
In this system, the wind turbine is main resource of the system and the fuel cell (FC) and battery bank are the backup system; so the load power, wind turbine power and battery state of charge (SOC) are inputs and the FC power is controller output.
According to the resules in 6 different states, it can be seen that the used controller operated truly.
