Abstarct: Increasing demands for chips with higher efficiency cause the complexity of integrated circuit design to increase. Although the problem has been fixed mostly by making smaller chips, the technology of having smaller disturbs the tradeoff between wires and gates delays. Moreover, as the speed was increased, consume power of chip was increased subsequently. To tackle these challenges, designers of integrated circuits focus on increasing the performance rather than speed. Thus, two separated processors were placed in a single chip and a bus was used to establish connections between them. The result was satisfactory so the systems consisting of several parts played on a board moved to be in a single chip. The architect of making processors like this is generally known as System on Chip (SOC). However, this was not the end of story, as the SOC has also problems that were recognized during the time of usages. For instance, increasing the number of separate parts (also known as IP) causes the system to not respond to any other chips. Problems such as lack of scalability and significant power consumption in bus lead to new attempts carried out to design of integrated circuits. The main concentration this time was on the architect of Network on Chip. The idea of utilizing Network on chip baxsed on large scale computer network concepts causes the OSI standard laxyers offers to be used. Since this architect was very efficient and fast, it was replaced with other architects. Hence, architects having various features and capabilities were considered for more investigation. In this thesis, a network with NOC architect known as Hermes was simulated in order to increase its capabilities. One of the disadvantages of Hermes network is that its efficiency is reduced with increasing the number of IPs. On the other hand, IPs may have information exchanges so if they make a local network, their communications will be faster. Thus, rather than utilizing a single IP, each switch was connected to four IPs lixnked by a bus. Therefore, we have a combination of NOS and SOC. The term "hybrid" in the tixtle of the thesis is referring to this fact. In addition, flits were transmitted with the frequency of network so routing time was reduced and speed was increased as well.
