Abstarct: The purpose of this thesis is that using the terminal sliding mode fuzzy controller, in the quarter-car suspension system, to prevent the body from undesirable movement of uneven road surfaces, vehicle acceleration and braking. Accordingly, at first active suspension system and vehicle dynamics will be studied, then the actuator will be controlled by sliding mode method. After that, the response rate will be improved by using terminal sliding mode method ,and then with the fuzzy control, we eliminate chattering phenomena in the terminal sliding mode controller. Finally, the results of sliding mode, are compared with the terminal sliding mode.
