Abstarct: Abstract The need for solute and various salts has been one of the most important concerns of humans since ancient times, so that in ancient times, residences were developed around places where salt was easily available as rock, salt water, or due to solar evaporation. Also, the lack of water has become another important challenge due to the growth of the world's population and the reduction of natural water resources. Global water scarcity is predicted to exceed 4,000 billion cubic meters per year in 2030, and more than 5 billion people will face water scarcity. One of the sustainable options for water desalination is the development of zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems, which completely convert unpurified water into fresh and salt water. A ZLD system not only eliminates the need for brine disposal, but also produces more fresh water and valuable salts, thereby increasing the advantage of the system. The purpose of this research is to produce steam (water) and extract potassium chloride salt from water. On this basis, by performing calculations and modeling of flow lines in Aspen software, a semi-industrial desalination device with a FC crystallizer with a flow rate of 0.5 cubic meters per day and a concentration of 100,000 PPM was designed, modeled and built. Then the production of steam (water) and salt of the device was investigated under different input temperatures (35, 30, 25 and 38 degrees Celsius) and concentrations (80, 60, 40 and 100 thousand PPM). Which increases the rate of steam and salt production by increasing the temperature and concentration of the input to the device. Also, this device has the highest steam production rate (17.8 kg/hr) and salt (8.5 kg/hr) at the inlet temperature of 38 degrees and concentration of 100 thousand PPM.
