Abstarct: Hydrogen gas is considered as one of the energy sources in the future due to the possibility of producing it from seawater. One of the most widely used methods of producing hydrogen gas is water electrolysis. Electrolysis of water by an electrolyzer, by passing an electric current through water molecules, using an intercellular membrane, breaks down water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. If the intercellular membrane is removed, hydrogen gas and oxygen are mixed to produce hydroxy gas, which can be used to improve the combustion process and reduce fuel consumption. For this purpose, in this research, the design and fabrication of a multicellular electrolyzer producing hydroxy gas using 316 steel sheet has been done and potassium hydroxide has been used to create the electrical conductivity of water. Also, to supply the energy consumption required by the electrolyzer, three DC power supplies with different current ranges have been used. Then, in the results of the experiments, the effect of current intensity on the electrolyzer voltage is investigated, the effect of current intensity on the amount of hydroxy gas production, the effect of number of plates on the amount of hydroxy gas produced, energy intensity, the effect of series and parallelity of electrolyzer plates and production. Paid per level. Experiments show that the voltage of each electrolyzer cell is in the range of 2 to 3 volts, and to achieve higher voltages, a series of plate arrangements must be used, and the optimal energy consumption intensity in the electrolyzer is between 10 and 15 amps, as well as power consumption. 400 watts can reach 130 liters per hour of hydroxy gas. After evaluating the electrolyzer, the effect of this gas injection on the combustion process was investigated. For this purpose, the hydroxy gas produced by the electrolyzer was injected into the inlet air to the combustion burner with a heat capacity of 40,000 kcal / h. Items such as the effect of this gas injection on the appearance of the flame, exhaust pollutants such as Co, Nox, Hc and temperature ... are investigated. In general, a 25% decrease in Co and a 7% decrease in Hc and a slight increase in Nox as well as a 6 ° increase in flame temperature were observed in the experiments.
