Abstarct: The main purpose of the current research is to investigate the warning methods of traffic light changes to drivers in Iran and evaluate traffic and safety. The parameters of the number of red light violations, early starting rate, late stopping rate, saturation head distance, saturation flow rate and initial movement delay have been investigated to investigate their impact on the safety and traffic of several intersections. The basic information required for the investigated intersections in Semnan and Mazandaran provinces were counted and analyzed using video images from video surveillance cameras. The results of the research show that turning off the reverse counters causes a decrease in the average speed at the threshold of entering the intersection, the presence of a reverse counter causes a decrease in passing through a yellow light, passing through a red light and their total at the intersection, and the presence of a reverse counter causes an increase.
