One of the ways to reduce pollution in the repair and maintenance of roads is to use the method of recycling asphalt obtained from the road, instead of resurfacing and using new asphalt, which alone is very important in order to reduce the production of pollutants from asphalt production and the restoration process. It is considered a way.
In this research, we investigated and compared 2 methods of asphalt recycling and asphalt coating in terms of Release of pollutants and their effects on the environment Research and review and study foreign and domestic articles in this regard, then by referring to Companies, related organizations, Tehran Air Quality Control Company and technical inspection centers under supervisionTehran Municipality and numerous meetings with related factors as well as study and field visit of freeways
In order to investigate, collect data and have numerous and related meetings in this regard with relevant agents and then decided to use the IVE software, the results of which are as follows is:
The results of the research showed that if the hot recycling method is used in situ, the emission of the main pollutants CO, NOX, SOX, PM, CO2, N2O, CH4 is reduced by nearly %65 compared to the asphalt coating method.
Using the recycling method also saves money and helps to protect the environment and reduce pollution by conserving natural resources.
