Abstarct: At the level of the coastal cities of Iran, there are unused flood channels, which over the years have turned into a state of disrepair. By turning these unused canals into recreational waterways, an attractive and healthy environment can be created for public use. This is possible by reducing the level of the canal floor to below the sea water level and the sea water flowing inside the canal. In this research, the feasibility of implementing a similar plan on one of the canals of Chabahar city is investigated. Two scenarios were considered regarding the possibility of building a waterway. First, a one-way and dead-end waterway, and second, a waterway that is connected to the sea on both sides. This is analyzed using Mike 21 software and hydrodynamics and transmission modules. Calibration of the studied area was done through the hydrodynamic module. Then, in the first scenario, in running the model with the transfer module, a point was placed as pollution at the end of the waterway and its condition was investigated. In the second scenario, the transfer module was implemented in the same way. The results showed that the water circulation and flushing in the first scenario will face problems due to the calm pond of the port and the presence of the Wharf next to the waterway, and after a month, flushing will not be done properly. In the second scenario, because the waterway is connected to the sea water on both sides, this problem does not occur, and water flushing through the second waterway will be easily possible.
