Abstarct: Tabriz is a metropolis with a growing population with large industries. Due to environmental condition of this city and the inappropriate location , the city of Tabriz is one of the few polluted cities in the country . in this study, while introducing a new function of concentration-response of the global model of of exposure-death (GEMM) and explaining the steps and how to use the software for drawing and evaluating environmental benefits (benMAP-CE), for the first time number of deaths due to PM2.5 pollutant in Tabriz has been calculated in this way and health-related economic costs were calculated. hourly PM2.5 concentration data of air pollution measuring stations in Tabriz has been used to calculate the concentration of PM2.5 for the 10 regions of Tabriz. In addition to the analysis of PM2.5 and its effects on general health for 1396, five scenarios were compared to the average annual PM2.5 concentration in 1396 (22.9µg/m3), which included an increase to 35, a decrease to 25, a decrease to 15, a decrease to 10 micrograms per cubic meter. A reduction scenario is at least (2.4µg/m3). in this study, using benMAP-CE software and the functions of the global model of exposure-death (GEMM), in total 886(814-935) death is estimated due to long-term exposure to PM2.5 pollutant in 1396 for concentration higher than 2.4µg/m3 in adults and the highest number of deaths derived from ischemic heart disease was 435(419-446), brain stroke 102(97-188), lower respiratory tract infection 71(53-80), chronic obstructive pulmonary 45 (33-53) and lung cancer 33(28-36). Total annual economic cost (1396), reduction of concentration of PM2.5 pollutant in Tabriz to the minimum level 2.4µg/m3using the value of one year life (VOLY) equals $8.7 million, using the statistical lifestyle method (VSL) equivalent to $372 million and using the method of ransom 67 million dollars were calculated.
