Abstarct: road quality is influenced by Several factors, such as prime-coat, basic conditions (including dry and wet conditions), and asphalting time. Prime-coat is a laxyer of asphalt infiltrate which spreads on the baxse surface before the asphalt coating; and by the penetrating the core, fills the holes and prevents the water build-up, as well as bonding and adhesion between the baxse and the asphalt. Prime-coat aimed to prepare the sand surface for distribution to the first laxyer of asphalt, including surface asphalt, cold asphalt and hot asphalt. In addition to sealing the road with penetration through its pores, prime-coat does not stabilize the sand surface of the road and facilitates adhesion of the asphalt laxyer to it. The penetration in the first few centimeters of a laxyer is usually due to the very fast capillary properties. In this study, the baxse soil was first compressed in to a rectangular cubic case and then infiltrated with MC-250 solution bitumen. The prime-coat was spread with ratios of 1, 1.5 and 2 kg⁄m^2 . Some samples are dry and others are wet. Also asphalt was run in two modes:
Immediately after spearing prime-coat and 48 hours after it.
In this way, the effects of soil humidity, amount of solution bitumen in prime-coat and the time of prime-coat treatment on quality can be investigated. The mold containing the asphalt sample on the baxse soil was creeped and its displacement measured for 4 weeks. The effects of the above factors were as follows by measuring the asphalt creep on the baxse laxyer:
Humidity reduces the penetration of coat and increases the amount of displacement. In fact, increasing the amount of bitumen increases the amount of displacement. Asphalting over time creates more favorable conditions due to the absorption and penetration of the plaster as compared to instantaneous asphalting.
