Abstarct: bitumen materials are the main part of asphalt that penerated in stong material by heat and lead to adhesiveness imgranular’s stone. Neccessity of heat effect in stablishing sceitable enviroment for adhesiveness materials, causes main changes in bitumen properties and most important changes are change in physical and chemical bitumen properties. Increasing strengh limit in asphalt mixture with change bitumen properties under neccessary condition could increase operation life and finally decrease storage and repair or struction expenses.
In this investigation, after studing mineral and non-mineral additive, we use zeolite for addition to bitumen and considering that’s effect on performance pure bitumen properties.
We used zeolite because of anti-oxidation properties. Zeolite in different percent add to AC60/70 and AC85/100 and after comclusion penetration degree, softening point and kinematic viscosity then samples were experiment under TFO to simulation long time aging and again performing penetration degree, softening point and kinematic viscosity.
In this phase, bitumin samples contain %5 zeolite, related to other samples and show better performance.
At the end the marshal samplees made with using pure bitumen and improved bitumen with %5 zeolite and measured it’s strenght and mobility and record for aging and non-aging asphalt.
Observation show positive effect of zeolite on marshal strenght after long term aging.
