TA323 : Use of Rubber Wastage for Improving Resistance Features of baxse laxyer

Abstarct: Rusty tires of machinery are known as one of the most important factory and industrial garbage that its daily increase is made some problems for human societies. Reusing this material in other industries especially civil engineering in recent decades is considered. In recent years researchers investigated the possibility for using this material in concrete, soil and asphalt mixture and showed that combination of this material with these materials improves some of its characteristics.
The purpose of performing this study is surveying the possibility and effect of crumb rubber placement instead of some parts of present stony materials in the laxyer of road baxse. In this regard, experiments CBR and PFWD were performed which their results are two important factors in designing and quality control of furnishing road.
Results arising CBR experiment in dry state showed that for replacing 20,40 and 60 percent of crumb rubber with some grading of stony materials of the laxyer of road baxse, the amount of CBR of samples are 5.75, 15.77 and 26 percent respectively that will be declined towards control sample. Also in CBR saturation, this amount of declining respectively equals to 3.57,11.9 and 28.57 was calculated towards quality sample. At last it is recognized that baxsed on specified CBR by regulations which its equivalence is 80, maximum replacing 40 percent of crumb rubber in dry state and 20 percent of crumb rubber in saturation state to grading of the soil of road baxse laxyer is possible. Also results arising PFWD experiment showed that replacing 20 percent of crumb rubber to the soil of baxse laxyer will be increased soil elasticity modulus in both dry and saturated states towards control sample 0.14 and 0.13 respectively that increasing this parameter in the soil of baxse laxyer causes declining of rutting failures and saurian skin tracks or it decreases the severity of damages of road furnishing.
