Abstarct: Nowadays, economic, safe, and fast Transportation is one of the most important concerns. Among all the common transportation options, oceanic transportation due to its capability of transporting high volume/number of freight and passengers, cost, safety is more welcoming. This fact encourages the efficient, safe, and most employment of existing maritime borders in order to build up the necessary infrastructure. Basically, the construction of piers, port, sea transit equipment, and oceanic transportation need the protection schemes including the wave walls, coastal protection, and breakwaters. However, in the reviewing process and selection of shore protection structures, it should be considered that the selected structure should have a marginal effect on the environmental conditions, ecosystem, and climate of the site. Also, at the same time, the structure should have negligible impact on the ship transportation capacity and if possible, increase it. In this process, economic considerations should be taken into account. Considering the above mentioned, this research attempts to investigate the reduction barrier’s system as one of the modern structures. It is shown that with employment of such structures, instead of building multiple breakwaters at each port in the Chabahar Bay, safe and calm environment for vessel operations could be achieved which results in a more economically-efficient scheme.
