Abstarct: the form of a factorial split plot in the form of a randomized complete block design in three replications at Shahrood University of Technology in the year 1401-1400 crop was done. The experimental factors include low irrigation treatment (at two levels of 10 days and 20 days irrigation cycle) which were placed in the main plots and a combination of sorghum variety treatments (two local levels and speedfed), and zinc and amino acid foliar spraying treatment (at four levels of no application, application of zinc, application of amino acid and application of zinc + amino acid) were factorially placed in sub-plots. Foliar spraying of zinc oxide at the rate of two per thousand and the mixture of amino acids with the brand name Megafol at the rate of two liters per hectare were carried out. The results showed that the three-way effect of irrigation frequency in foliar application on the characteristics of spike length, spike weight, weed dry weight, weed density, electrolyte leakage, proline, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, carotenoid, weight 1000 seeds, the number of seeds in cluster and seed yield were significant. The highest amount of dry weight of cluster (15.05 percent), length of cluster (76.27 percent), chlorophyll a (79.77 percent), chlorophyll b (1.45 percent), carotenoid (72.25 percent), biological performance (12.5 tons per hectare), 1000 seed weight (6.99 percent), number of seeds per cluster (4.46 percent) and seed yield (54.46 percent) were compared to the control that from the treatment combination of amino acid foliar spraying to It was obtained along with on and off irrigation every 10 days for the local variety. The lowest values of photosynthetic pigments, yield and yield components of sorghum also belonged to the treatment of 20-day irrigation interval, no foliar spraying and Speed Feed cultivar. The lowest amount of weed dry weight (8.86 grams per square meter) and weed density (6.3 plants per square meter) was related to the combined treatment of amino acid and zinc in the condition of irrigation every 20 days and the local variety. Therefore, baxsed on the results of this research, the application of amino acid along with zinc was able to reduce the destructive effects of drought stress in two sorghum cultivars and increase the sorghum grain yield.
