Abstarct: Mediterranean fruit fly, Ceratitis capitata (Dip: Tephritidae) is one of the most important and dangerous pests of fruit trees in the world and also in Iran. Today, this fly is considered the most important pest of citrus fruits and all kinds of fruit trees, which causes severe damage that if not controlled, it can cause the destruction of fruits up to 90% .This study was conducted with the aim of comparing the effectiveness of some attractants and traps in mass hunting of Mediterranean fruit flies in two peach and tangerine orchards in Dasht Naz area of Sari. This research was conducted in the form of a randomized complete block design with 5 treatments and 5 replications (each replication includes one tree) in both gardens. The treatments are: 1- sticky yellow card (25 cm x 10 cm) 2- Tephri trap + Cera trap liquid (a type of food attractant), 3- Jackson trap (Delta) + Biolure (food attractant), 4 - Tephri trap + Ceratinx tablet (food attractant) in 200 cc of water, and 5- McPhail + Trimedlure (male sex pheromone). Sampling started from the beginning of July and lasted until the end of December 2019. The number of whole fruit fly insects caught in the trap was counted and recorded weekly and separately by gender (male and female) and non-target insects for 15 weeks. Temperature data on sampling dates were obtained from Dasht Naz (Sari) Meteorological Organization baxsed on the results, the effect of ambient temperature on the Mediterranean fruit fly population in tangerine orchard (autumn season) was significant. The results of the analysis of variance of the data obtained from attracting flies to different treatments in two nectarine and tangerine gardens showed that there is a statistically significant difference between the treatments. So that Trimedlure sexual attractant was especially effective in attracting male flies. In attracting female fruit flies, nutritional attractants, especially Cera trap, were in the first place, and Biolure and Ceratinex were in the next position, and in general, in attracting both male and female insects, Trimedlure (sexual attractant) was first, then Cera trap, Biolure and Ceratinx (food absorbent) is next. The sticky yellow card was not very effective in hunting fruit flies in both peach and tangerine orchards. The damage rate of Mediterranean fruit fly on control trees and trees with yellow card was the highest in both nectarine and tangerine orchards. Non-target insects were more attracted to food attractants, especially beaver and ceratrap, which shows the inefficiency of fruit fly pheromone treatments in hunting insects of other orders.
