Abstarct: Pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) as one of the most important horticultural products and the third largest export of Iran is of special economic importance. This study was performed to investigate the effect of girdling and bending on some vegetative and reproductive traits of pistachio trees. For this purpose, two experiments in the form of randomized complete block design in 2019 and 2020 were performed on “Akbari” cultivar in Damghan. Treatments include bending the branches in the whole flower stage, at the beginning of bone skin گرمowth and at the time of ossification, and girdling treatments on one-year, two-year and three-year branches during the whole flower and combined girdling and bending treatments on the branches, and the last treatment was control. The results of comparing the mean of the data showed that in the bending treatment of the branches in the ossification stage, the highest fresh weight, dry weight, number of kernels, number of remaining buds, number of seeds per ounce and kernel percentage were obtained. Also, the results of this study showed that the results of the measured traits were lower in girdling treatments than in bending and control treatments. On the other hand, the lowest amount of closed mouth pistachio was observed in branch and control bending treatments. In addition, the effect of treatments on the amount of elements (N, P, K, Ca and B), leaf area and pistachio hollow did not show a significant difference.
