Abstarct: In order to investigate the effect of planting date, zeolite and superabsorbent on yield and some physiological characteristics of rainfed sunflower (Helianthus annuus) in Maraveh Tappeh region, an experiment was conducted in a private farm in Maraveh Tappeh city in 2018-2019. The experiment was performed as a factorial experiment in a randomized complete block design with 3 replications and 2 factors. Experimental factors include the first factor of planting date in 2 levels (February 19 and March 5) and the second factor includes soil moisture improver in 6 levels: control (without using soil moisture improver), use of superabsorbent (according to Instructions), the use of zeolite (according to the instructions), the combination of 50% zeolite with 50% superabsorbent, the combination of 70% zeolite with 30% superabsorbent and the combination of 30% zeolite with 70% superabsorbent. In this experiment, traits such as chlorophylls, relative leaf water content, membrane stability, grain yield components, grain yield and biological yield were measured. In this experiment, traits such as chlorophylls, relative leaf water content, membrane stability, grain yield components, grain yield and biological yield were measured. So that with the use of moisture improver, the mentioned traits were also improved, Accordingly, with the application of moisture-improving traits, relative leaf water content, head diameter, electrolyte leakage and chlorophyll meter were significantly increased compared to the control. The results of this experiment also showed that grain yield components and yield Seeds were also significantly affected by moisture improver, The use of moisture improver significantly increased grain yield and grain yield components compared to the control, the highest grain yield was observed during the application of 30% zeolite + 70% superabsorbent treatment Which was 4447 and 4480 kg / ha on the date of planting February 19 and March 5, respectively. Also, the results of this experiment showed that in general, the planting date of the first of March is better than the planting date of February 19. In general, baxsed on the results of this experiment, it should be stated that moisture improvers, due to their positive properties, improve various traits in the sunflower plant and ultimately increase grain yield.
