Abstarct: Today, the use of plant growth regulators to reduce the negative effects of stress has been performed. Acetylsalicylic acid and methanol are one of the ingredients that cause plant resistance to stresses. To examine this subject in Sesame plant an experiment was done in 1389 as a split factorial plot in a randomized complete block design with three replications at the research farm of University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources of Gorgan. The Main factor includes of two irrigation levels (15 days and 25 days) and sub factors included three levels of foliar application of methanol in concentrations of zero, 15 and 25% by volume and salicylic acid in concentrations of zero, 4/0 and 8/0 mmol. The results showed that foliar application of methanol and salicylic acid treatments on leaf area was significant and by increase in concentration of treatments, leaf area increased. Treatment combination of methanol 25% v and salicylic acid 0.8 mM resulted in an increase in plant height and number of branches. But about the height of the first node only the main effects of methanol and salicylic acid were significant. So by increasing in the concentration of methanol and salicylic acid the height to the first node reduced. Dry weight of shoot and fruit was affected by stress, salicylic acid and methanol. Leaf dry weight increased with increasing of methanol concentration. Treatment combination of acetylsalicylic acid and methanol had significant effect on the yield and number of capsules per plant and in plots with acetylsalicylic acid 8/0 mM and methanol 25% v were applied, the highest yield and number of capsules per plant was obtained. Treatment combination of acetylsalicylic acid 8/0 mM and methanol 25% v increased oil percentage, oil yield and grain protein yield.
