Abstarct: In order to study the morphological diversity of wild pomegranates in some areas of northern and northeastern, 103 wild pomegranate genotypes in 7 regions including Shahroud (12 genotypes), Sari (14 genotypes), Miankaleh (15 genotypes), Amol (11 genotypes), Gorgan (22 genotypes), Azadshahr (17 genotypes) and Golestan (12 genotypes) in the provinces Semnan, Golestan and Mazandaran were studied. 52 quantitative and qualitative traits including vegetative traits of trees (branches and leaves), reproductive traits (flowers and fruits) was evaluted during one year. The results indicated that the fruit weight was between 17.39 and 9.99 g with an average of 48.92 g, the total weight of aril was between 0.54 g and 64.78 g with an average of 24.25 g and the weight of one hundred arils was between 4.89 to 46.21 with an average of 13.79.The results of the simple correlation coefficient between the traits showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the length and width of the flower calyx with fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit weight, total weight of aril, fruit skin weight, flower shape and size.baxsed on the results of principal component analyses, the first component justifies 63.23% of the variance. In the first 10 traits, 95.39% justifies variance. In the first component, the weight of the fruit and then the total weight of the acrylic, the weight of the skin, the length and diameter of the fruit had the highest specific values. In bi-plot analysis, two main factors of distribution of genotypes were determined. In bi-plot distribution, AZAD2 genotypes were separated from the central group in the first region, MIN11 in the second region, and SH7, SH10 and SH11 in the third region. In the dendrogram created using cluster analysis and method, the genotypes entered were divided into the first and second groups from the distance of 325 scales and were also divided into two sub-branches by decreasing the distance between 150 and 200.51 genotypes were combined in the first group and 52 genotypes were in the second group.Fruit weight traits, fruit length and diameter, total aril weight and 100 aril weights were the main factors in this classification. The findings of the present study show that there is a high morphological diversity in wild pomegranates that can be used in breeding programs.
