Abstarct: This research was carried out to investigate the effect of spermine and drought stress (irrigation rounds) on the growth and yield of cowpea plant in a research field of Shahroud University of Technology in 2016 as a spilite plot baxsed on randomized complete block design with 3 replications. In this study, drought stress was distributed to the main plots and subplots were allocated to spermine. Drought stress levels (irrigation intervals) included control (7 days irrigation; D0), mild stress (10 days irrigation interval; D1) and severe stress (irrigation interval 14 days; D2); and spermine levels including control (normal water spraying on the plant; S0) concentration was 0.25 mM (S1) and 50 mM (S2) spermine. Spraying was carried out in four stages, flowering and milking of seeds. The results showed that drought stress (increased irrigation) reduced plant height, number of pods per plant, pod length, number of seeds per pod, 100 seed weight, pod weight per plant, seed weight per plant, plant weight, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b , Total chlorophyll, relative water content of leaf and membrane stability of bean plant. This is while the concentration is 0.25 Mm weight of spermine increased the traits studied. Spraying spermin can reduce the effect of drought stress on many of the studied traits. Also, drought stress (irrigation interval) and spermine levels increased carotenoid and protein yield.
