Abstarct: It was aimed to study the interactive effects of mycorrhizal fungi and ultrasonic waves on quantitative and qualitative characteristics of Nigella sativa L.. A field experimental was conducted in the research farm of agriculture collage of Shahrood University in 1391. The experiment was as factorial on the baxse on randomized complete block design with 3 replications. Treatment consisted of mycorrhizal fungi, in tree levels of non-inoculated (M1), recommended amount of inoculation (M2) and twice recommended inoculation (M3) and ultrasonic waves, in five levels including zero (F1), 3 (F2), 5 (F3), 7 (F4) and 9 minutes (F5) exposure to ultrasonic waves with a frequency of 42 kHz. Results showed that the interaction of mycorrhiza and ultrasonic waves was significant for stem height, number of capsules per plant, essential oil percentage and seed oil. Grain yield, weight of 1000 grain, root colonization, biological yield, harvest index and essential oil yield was significantly affected by mycorrhizal treatment. Plant inoculation with mycorrhiza had the highest increase. It was found no difference between inoculation levels. Also mycorrhiza affected essential oil yield and the most significant increase was found for twice recommended inoculation treatment. Ultrasonic waves increased grain yield, biological yield, weight of 1000 grains and essential oil yield. The highest positive affect was appeared for 5 and 7 minutes ultrasonic exposure. The number of seeds per capsule in this experiment was not effect by treatments. It was concluded that 5 and 7 minutes exposure to ultrasonic waves can increase the growth and yield of black seed.
