Dezful-Andimshek plain is the largest plain of Khuzestan province in terms of agriculture and drinking water, which has an important role in the agriculture of the province with the Dez irrigation network. This plain includes the Dezful-Andimeshk aquifer with an area of about 2245.3 square kilometers, and therefore the study of hydrodynamic coefficients (T, S) plays a significant role and importance in the proper management of its valuable water resources. The purpose of this research is to evaluate and zone the hydrodynamic coefficients of the Dezful-Andimeshk aquifer. According to the investigations, the general direction of the flow in the aquifer is north-south and the depth of the water level decreases from the north to the south. The changes in the underground water level during the 14-year period show the greatest drawdown the north of the aquifer.
Also, the groundwater balance for the water year (October 1996 to September 1997) shows that the aquifer is facing a deficit of 45.29 million cubic meters in this water year. The transmissivity values of the aquifer were investigated in different ways.
The range of transmissivity changes baxsed on specific capacity data is about 241 to 1912 square meters per day. The transmissivity of the aquifer varies from 249 to 2503 square meters per day baxsed on the pumping test method (Cooper-Jacob). The transmissivity values baxsed on the sediment texture in the borehole log were calculated from 624 to 1320 square meters per day. The highest amount of transmissivity is observed in the northern part of the aquifer. In order to calculate the specific drainage of the aquifer using the well drilling log method, the dominant soil texture was determined in the drilling logs at the location of each well and baxsed on the results, the average specific yield of the aquifer is 8%.
