Abstarct: Qom(Qom-Kahak) aquifer is an unconfind aquifer that is extended in the east and south of Qom city. According to studies, the walev level drawdown of this aquifer is due to reduced rainfall and uncontrolled discharge of the aquifer by exploitation wells. In order to investigate the drawdown in water level of Qom aquifer, the data of 32 piezometer in a period of ten years (October 1986 to September 1997) were examined. The results of this study show a drop of 29.12 meters over a ten-year period and an annual drawdown rate of 1.1 meters, The valve of drawdown in Qom-Kahak aquifer varies from at least 5 meters to a maximum of 20 meters during the period from October 1986 to September 1997. Spatial analysis of the drawdown in the Qom-Kahak aquifer indicates the existence of three categories of piezometers. Low drawdown piezometers in which the drawdown rate varies from about 85.2 to 86.7 and the annual drawdown rate in these piezometers is from 0 to 0.5 meters. Medium drawdown piezometers are scattered throughout the plain. Their drawdown varies from 86.7 to 85.16 and they have an annual drawdown rate of 0.5 to 1.5 meters. The maximum drawdown in piezometers is from about 85.16 to 34.26 meters and the annual drawdown rate is 5.1 to 3 meters. These piezometers are related to the southern regions of the aquifer. baxsed on the calculations of groundwater balance of Qom-Kahak aquifer, the amount of changes in the volume of aquifer storage was calculated equal to 22 million cubic meters, which indicates the reservoir deficit due to more withdrawals from the aquifer recharge baxsed on studies, artificial recharge, infiltration of treated wastewater, management of groundwater abstraction have been proposed as a way to reduce the groundwater level decline in this valuable aquifer.
