Abstarct: The study area is located in the south west of Abbas Abad (East Shahrood City) wich occupies a field of approximately 100 km2, in the north central Iran structural zone. In the area, volcanic rocks observed are combination of basic (trachy basalt), intermdiate (trachy andesite basalt and trachy andesite) and sedimentary rocks (siltston, sandston, shale, marll, limeston bearing fossil) relationship to shallow- depth submarine basin. The observed combination range of volcanic rocks the study area have been resulted of differentiation crystallization presses and mainly minerals are involved clinopyroxene and plagioclase and olivine. In the rocks showed porphyric, megaporphyric texture with microlitic and vitric matrix, also glomeroporphyric and sive texture.Alteration processes leed to in to formation of secondary minerals such as: chlorite, zeolite, analsime, calcite and epidote. Minralization of coupper (malakite and azurite) are important and relative main ottential to trachy andesite rocks. The plotted different diagrams baxsed on major and trace elements indicate that there is a magmatical and genetical relation between samples of area to other and also they derived from same magmatic origin.Field, petrography and Geochemical investigations indicate that these rocks have alkaline nature and they produced within continental plate setting. These rocks originated from lithosphere (80-100 km depth) by partial melting of an enriched garnet lehrzolite source. Magmatic nature and tectonic setting of studied rocks are corresponded to extension environment.
According to geochemical data and field evidences, volcanism in study area, formed by a tensional system. The most probable tensional tectonic setting seems to be pull-apart basins.
