QE129 : Site selection for hazardous wastes landfill in Qom province

Abstarct: According to increased population levels and greater industrial production, must aim to find places suitable for the sanitary digging of hazardous wastes; this is one of the main concerns of expect in this field. in recent year, with increased hazardous wastes need to construct a sanitary landfill in Qom province. Through the use of geology, pedology, topography, geomorphology, roads, sattelment, hydrology, hydrogeology, meteorology and land use, this thesis presentation will aim to find suitable places to bury the wastes. The most appropriate places to construct a sanitary landfill in the Qom province wil be analyzed, due to the high number of factors affecting the sites of landfill, one cannot use precious methods to predict possible sites. In consolation will use methods such as simple additive weighting method and geographic information system to predict sites. The procedure for predicting sites consists of 3 parts: 1. susceptive zonation for wastes landfill, 2. Site visiting, 3. final selection. For recognition, forecast and decreased biophysics, social and other environmental factors used environmental impact assessment. By this methods will aim to find best sites to bury the hazardous wastes on Qom province. This area located in the west of Qom city.
