Abstarct: In the present study the glassy carbon electrode was modified by polyaniline – PMAS using electrochemical method and then the modified electrode was applied for quantitative determination of dopamine. in this investigation cyclic voltammetry (CV), diffrential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and choronoamperometry were used. The polyaniline – PMAS modified electrode exhibited an enhanced electrochemichal response to DA than the bare GCE, PAn/ GCE and PMAS/GCE. Under optimal conditions, the electrode showed a linear response to DA in the concentration range of 0.2- 6.0 µM. The limit of detection was found as 0.1 µM with a sensitivity of 1.982 µA.mM-1. The proposed electrode showed relatively high reproducibility and stability. The modified electrode was succecfully used for determination of dopamine in real samples such as water, blood serum and ampule.
