Abstarct: The increasing environmental concern and promotion of “green processes” are forcing the displacement of traditional homogeneous catalysts by solid ones. In this research, Activated Carbon due to its special properties was used as appropriate supported catalyst. Its most important properties, resistance to acidic and basic environments, low-cost, high surface area and good porosity. First, Activated Carbon was functionalized carboxylic acid group and then carboxylic group converted thionyl chloride, Then acylchloride was reacted with diethylenetriamine (AC-dien). After that the molybdenum complex was anchored on modified carbon. For synthesis of AC-Schiff-baxse-MoO2(acac) catalyst after functionalization of Activated Carbon with diethylenetriamine, amine group was converted to Schiff baxse by refluxing with salicyl aldehyde in ethanol. The CHN, TG/DTA, FT-IR, SEM, ICP techniques were used for the characterization of both catalysts and then they were used in epoxidation of Alkenes. The catalytic activity were optimized for different parameters such as amount of catalyst, solvent, oxidant, temperature and reaction times. Furthermore, Catalysts can be recycled by simple filtration of the reaction solution and reused for four times with a slightly decreased activity.
